Niels Smedegaard
BOARD MEMBER
Niels is chairman of Falck. In addition, he has a lot of experience on boards both as chairman and board member for a number of other Danish and foreign companies. Furthermore, Niels is chairman of the Bikuben Foundation for the 7th year and has previously been chairman of the Danish Shipowners' Association and ECSA (European Community Shipowners' Associations). Niels has been CEO of DFDS for 12 years, prior to which he was EVP, CFO and later CEO of e-gatematrix in Switzerland. Previously, Niels has worked for companies such as Swissair and SAS. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from CBS and a Master's degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
